Conira started out as my first foray into 3D engine development. I started with basic md2 loading techniques, then headed on to do euler vector rotations for cameras, and it kept going from there.

I never really had a design goal while developing this game, I would say it’s more of an experiment than a whole game.

Your goal is to shoot out the enemies (the green tentacle things that spawn and move about) while protecting the space children from their attacks. Each time one of the enemies hit the space children, they become weak and separate into two. As the aliens attack the space children, they’ll become more and more scattered around. If all the children are attacked, you lose the game.

The rhythm and pace of the enemies is based on the current rhytm of the song being played.

Yes….. I know it’s a very unusual game design.
